Birding Areas and Walks in the Natural Parks of Valencia
La Drova is ideally positioned to explore various excellent birding areas and walks in Valencia. This mountain area is roughly halfway between the Albufera Marsh and Oliva/Pago Marsh both of which have  new hides. Albufera has a very good visitors centre.
Also within easy reach are Peñón de Ifac, good for breeding sea birds and Elenoras falcon, Serra Calderona for Eagle Owl, Blue rock thrush, Short toed eagle and Bonelli´s eagle, Hoces Cabriel for raptors and owls. La Drova and the local area is a haven for many mountain birds such as Griffon vulture, Golden eagle, Peregrine, Booted eagle, Raven and Chough. Other birds include Golden Oriole, Cirl bunting, Rock Buntimg, Sardinian warbler, Dartford warbler, Nightingale, Bee-eater, Stonechat, Firecrest, Crested tit, Woodchat Shrike etc.
Please e mail us to enquire about guided birding tours.
